EU funded ongoing projects were reviewed with the delegation of French Senators

Mzia Giorgobiani, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia met with French Senate Delegation. Senators Gisèle Jourda, René Danesi  and Councilor Fabrice Hugot traveled to Georgia within the scope of the visit. Eric Tozati, Deputy Ambassador and Ioulia Sauthier, Head of Economic Section of the Embassy of the French Republic also attended the meeting. 
Mzia Giorgobiani provided detailed information to delegation members about the competences and priorities of the Ministry. French side expressed particular interest in projects implemented within the framework of EU Integration and Eastern Partnership.
Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia talked in details about the programs elaborated by involvement of EU, among them Kakheti, Guria, Racha-Lechkhumi and Svaneti regions development projects. 
“While selecting 4 pilot regions, we didn’t consider only tourist factor, specificity and individual approach of each region is essential that will help us better acquire economic potential of those regions” - stated Mzia Giorgobiani
