Diplomatic Corps got acquainted with the Local Self-Government Reform

Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia – Irakli Kobakhidze and the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia – Zurab Alavidze introduced to the diplomats and representatives of NGOs planed changes in the direction of local self-government, also government vision and plans.
During the meeting, discussion focused on the short term and long term objectives in the field of local self-government. The long-term goal aims to establishes a national strategy for decentralization. As a result it is possible to achieve European level of self-governance.
