Saint Martyr Grigol Peradze House-Museum undergoes construction in Bakurtsikhe Village

Saint Martyr Grigol Peradze House-Museum undergoes construction in Village Bakurtsikhe of Gurjaani Municipality. Restoration of small fragments of the House that are available as of today is impossible, hence the Government of Georgia has decided the conservation works for the ruins to be conducted there and Museum to be built also by efforts of the Municipal Development Fund.
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Zurab Avalidze, State Authorized Representative to Kakheti Region Irakli Kadagishvili, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Galaktion Buadze and Deputy Executive Director of the Fund Davit Tabidze conducted the site visit for Bakurtsikhe Village aimed at inspecting works progress.
Foreign and local guests and researchers, interested in the life of the Saint often visit Bakurtikhe Village, respectively it was decided some kind of Discussion Hall to be arranged there: Meeting Hall with small exhibition corner to be connected with the life of the Saint, what for Meeting Room at the building with the memorial exhibition corner is already envisaged there. Accomplishment and fencing of existing site is also taken into consideration. The project has been funded with GEL 396 693, 00 out of the State budget and its completion is scheduled to take place in May 2017. There have been employed 20 people at works.
