Construction of Batoni Palace is in its completion phase
Second phase of rehabilitation of one of the most important architectural monuments – Batoni Palace – in Telavi is in its completion phase. A museum of modern standards nearby the palace is under construction. The Museum includes exhibition area and conference halls.
Renovated Batoni Palace will soon be ready to welcome visitors and tourists.
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mr. Zurab Alavidze visited the site along with the Kakheti Governor and representatives of local self-government to see the ongoing works.
The project covers development of the museum and its territory as well as the Palace territory. The project also includes outdoor café and amphitheater. The Museum and its territory will be fully adapted to the needs of the people with limited abilities.
The works were funded by the World Bank and its total cost amounted to more than GEL 6 mln.
First phase of rehabilitation of Batoni Palace was carried out by the Municipal Development Fund and completed in October, 2016.
