Construction of Tbilisi-Rustavi highway keeps on going

Decision on execution of the Contract for construction of the 2nd section of Tbilisi-Rustavi highway has been made. Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Galaktion Buadze and representatives of Turkish Company “Seza Inshaat” identified as the Bidding winner company, have already signed the Contract. The project undergoes implementation within Sustainable Urban Transport Investment Program of the Asian Development Bank. Duration of the 6.4 km Tbilisi-Rustavi highway construction makes up 2 years.  Contract price for construction works amounts to GEL 119 million.
Total length of all three sections of Tbilisi-Rustavi highway is 17.4 km. Construction of the first and third sections was commenced on April 22nd, 2014 and was finalized in May 2016.
