Infrastructure works are currently ongoing in order to ensure 24-hour water supply for Kutaisi

United Water Supply Company of Georgia is currently implementing the second phase of water supply system rehabilitation in Kutaisi. The project envisages the construction of pumping stations, reservoirs, and distribution network. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Zurab Alavidze, with Director of United Water Supply Company of Georgia, Giorgi Koberidze, and with the representatives of local authorities visited the construction of Mukhnari reservoir and acquainted himself with the works. For the purposes of constructing water supply system, Asian Development Bank has allocated more than 86 million GEL. There are up to 200 persons employed. After the completion of the project, long-lasting problem of potable water will be resolved and the population of Kutaisi will have 24-hour water supply. The project will be completed in 2018.
