Kutaisi water supply project is added with rehabilitation of water supply networks inside residential blocks

Rehabilitation of water supply network inside residential blocks and nearby settlements in Kutaisi has started. This work is added to initial water supply project.
The work covers full rehabilitation of water supply network of settlements nearby the city and renovation of breakdown internal networks in residential blocks. 
Implementation of the works will reduce water losses and help solve problem related to poor conditions in basements.  
Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mr. Grigol Katsia and Head of United Water supply Company of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Koberidze visited the site to see the works on Godogani reservoir.
There were hindrances in construction-rehabilitation of the II phase of Kutaisi water supply system, caused by financial problems of the contractor.
According to Mr. Katsia and Mr. Koberidze, problems have been solved and the works have moved in an active phase. Currently discussions are underway on determining new timelines of the project completion.
The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank.
