Maya Tskitishvili – new challenges and initiatives require new people

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mrs. Maya Tskitishvili held a meeting with the incumbent and former State Representative-Governors. Mr. Sozar Subari, Head of Management of Regions at the Government Administration, was also supposed to attend the meeting, though, as Mrs. Maya Tskitishvili said, due to natural disaster (flood) in Chuberi, Svaneti region, he had to leave for Svaneti. “We summarized the four months, that we have implemented together with the State Representative-Governors. We thanked each other for cooperation. I think that the Prime-Minister put it the right way, that new challenges and initiatives, announced reforms require new people and I believe that these changes will have positive effect on the development of regions” – Mrs. Tskitishvili said.
Today, Prime-Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze released five State Representatives-Governors from the occupied positions. Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor – Me. Levan Zautashvili, Samegrelo-Zemo-Svaneti Governor – Levan Shonia, Shida Kartli Governor – Mr. Akaki Machutadze, Kvemo-Kartli Governor – Grigol Nemsadze and Samtskhe-Javakheti Governor – Mr. Kakha Samkharadze were among the released Governors.
Guria Governor – Mr. Merab Chanukvadze, Kakheti Governor – Irakli Kadagishvili, Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti Governor – Archil Japaridze and Acting Governor of Imereti – Grigol Dalakishvili still occupy their positions.
