Minister – IDP’s shall have dignified living conditions

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mrs. Maya Tskitishvili held a meeting with the former staff of the Technical Department of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia.
Within the frames of the structural reform of the Government, which stipulates reduced number of Ministries, resettlement function under the Ministry of Internally Displaces Persons from Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees will be transferred under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. 
Mrs. Tskitishvili was interested in details of the work of various structural units of the Ministry. At the meeting Technical Department employees introduced Minister with the detailed information on the ongoing construction progress of residential apartments for the IDPs. Minister displayed interest in the problematic issues and the ways of solving these problems.
“Currently structural changes are taking place. We aim at planning future process through observing timeframes and quality in order to ensure dignified living conditions for IDPs” – Mrs. Tskitishvili said.
Function of the resettlement of IDP’s will be falling within the functions of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.
