Minister: We started dialogues with the representatives of the regions of Georgia to plan project budgets

A meeting held between the top management of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and representatives of local self-government of Kakheti region held in Telavi, Kakheti region.
“We have started an active dialogue with the municipalities; the Ministry will finance various projects based on the needs that are priority for a specific region and its population. We are also starting meetings with local self-governments on the issue of planning budget. We held first meeting in Kakheti region. With the local government we went through all the projects and opportunities that the region holds” – Mrs. Maya Tskitishvili said.
At the meeting, State Governor in Kakheti Region, Mr. Irakli Kadagishvili presented Economic Development Concept of Kakheti Region to the Minister where highlights were made on stage by stage solution to the problematic issue of potable water supply. Emphasis was also made on the development of the Wine Museum, tourist destinations, access roads to tourist destinations and municipal transport. Kakheti is the first region where future development prospective and projects were discussed and planned with the involvement of the Governor’s Office and local self-government.
