MRDI reviews the plan for construction-rehabilitation of schools for 2019

Aimed at prioritizing the works within the plan on school infrastructure construction-rehabilitation for 2019 throughout the regions of Georgia, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Maya Tskitishvili held the coordination meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). In attendance of the meeting was Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Irina Abuladze, heads of relevant Divisions of the same Ministry and representatives of MCC. At the meeting there were discussed the requirements that various regions of Georgia are facing today from school infrastructure standpoint, there were determined also the priorities and action plan for school infrastructure improvement for 2019 was set out jointly.  As a result of structural and functional changes of the Government initiated by Prime Minister of Georgia, construction and reconstruction works of the school infrastructure will be implemented by MRDI, and the small-scale rehabilitation works will be carried out by local self-governmental bodies.
