Multifunctional Sports Complex under Construction in Town Khobi  

Construction works for the multifunctional sports complex are underway in Town Khobi. Reconstruction-rehabilitation works for the former “Tutarchela”  cinema building, which are funded by the EIB are under implementation by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.  Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Zurab Alavidze, Authorized Representative of the State in Samegrelo Region, Levan Shonia and Gamgebeli of Khobi, Gocha Kajaia were visiting the project site for inspection of ongoing works.    
The project envisages arrangement of wrestling grounds, chess hall, pool hall, fitness facility and sauna in the sports complex building.  
Those who are interested in sports will be enabled to train in the improved environment and hold tournaments in various sporting activities.     
The project provides for arrangement of metal trusses and roofing of the hall. The rest of the building will also get roofed with sheet metal. Aluminum panoramic windows will be arranged on the façade.  
Power supply, and heating-ventilation systems will be arranged.  Works for arrangement of outdoor and indoor wastewater systems and biological treatment unit are ongoing concurrently.
There are 30 persons employed at the project site with total cost exceeding GEL 2 500 000. Works are expected to complete in Spring of 2018.
