Pascal Meunier – Number of French companies are interested in making investments in Georgia

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mrs. Maia Tskitishvili held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France, Mr. Pascal Meunier and the Head of French Development Agency in South Caucasus, Mrs. Assayag Gaelle. The meeting was of introductory nature. The parties talked about deepening of cooperation in infrastructure field among the two countries. As Mr. Ambassador said, there are a number of French companies, who are interested in making investments in Georgia, which is important for further deepening of economic relations between the two countries. At the meeting the parties also discussed a water supply project which shall be financed by the French Development Agency (AFD). In particular, the reference was made to construction of Khashuri water supply and water discharge systems and water discharge treatment facility. The parties also spoke about future growth of assistance from the French Development Agency and the capacities of cooperation in the projects related to regional development, tourist infrastructure, municipal transport and waste management.
