Preparation works for winter season have been launched in Bakuriani

Preparation works for winter season have been launched in Bakuriani. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mrs. Maya Tskitishvili, Executive Director of Municipal Development Fund and Head of Mount Resorts Company of Georgia visited Bakuriani to see the ongoing works. 
Rehabilitation of roads and sidewalks, access road to Mitarbi cable way, construction of a parking lot, designing and construction of a Bakuriani bypass road, arrangement of a multifunction ice rink – this is an incomplete list of projects ongoing and planned in Bakuriani.
The above-listed projects are financed through funds from the Government of Georgia, financial aid from the World Bank and the European Investment Bank.
According to Mrs. Tskitishvili, major part of the works shall be finished until winter comes. 
“We are here in Bakuriani, to go through every issue in detail and plan a work process that we should start now, to be ready for the winter season. There are problematic projects, for instance: a water supply network. Contractor abandoned the work. We should solve this issue with the management of the Company (United Water Supply Company of Georgia) as soon as possible. Every year, as the tourist flow grows, we are facing a challenge of improving infrastructure in a manner to ensure comfort and coziness for tourists” – Mrs. Tskitishvili said.
