Regional Development Program is actively going on

Within the frames of Regional Development support program a meeting was held on March 16, at the “Court Yard Marriott” Hotel. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. An annual draft report of “2015 – 2017 Regional Development Program” prepared within the frames of Financial Agreement (Regional Development Support – phase II) signed on November 18, 2014 between CoE and the Government of Georgia and “Regional Analyses Discrepancies” updated in consideration of statistical data were reviewed at the meeting.  

 “2015 – 2017 Regional Development Program” represents a unity of program-related activities developed jointly by several ministries and agencies. Successful implementation of the program will contribute to balanced and sustainable socio-economic development of Georgia. It will facilitate economic development of the regions of the country, creating jobs and improvement of living conditions. 

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Tengiz Shergelashvili, CoE monitoring expert Mr. Piotr Zuber, expert Connor Corn as well as other staff members of the Ministry.
