Rehabilitation of Sports Complex Completed in Kaspi

Reconstruction-rehabilitation of the sports complex is completed in Kaspi. Zurab Alavidze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Tariel Khechikashvili, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia and Ioseb Okromelidze, Governor of Shida Kartli Region were visiting the project site of completed works implemented with World Bank funding by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. The new, up-to-date sports complex will serve hundreds of youngsters and sport amateurs in Kaspi Municipality. The hotel building, circular wrestling hall, gym and fitness hall underwent rehabilitation works. A brand new basketball hall was constructed. A boiler facility, ventilation and wastewater systems were installed. Rehabilitation of the sports complex commenced in the beginning of 2015 and was completed by the end of 2016. Project cost exceeds GEL 2 400 000. There were approximately 40 persons employed at the project site.
