Territorial cooperation program between Armenia and Georgia is ongoing successfully

Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Tengiz Shergelashvili visited Armenia, Dilijan, where he took part in the 3rd meeting of the decision-making committee of the Armenian-Georgian territorial cooperation program. Within the frameworks of territorial cooperation program among Armenia and Georgia a number of projects are being implemented by EU funding. The main purpose of the project is improving the business environment and the creation of new tourist routes for cross-border regions. Special attention is paid to the education and mutual contacts of the young people living in the border regions. During the meeting, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) introduced to the decision-making committee the results of the monitoring of program progress during March-April months and gave a positive assessment to the program rates and directions.
