The residents of Poti will be provided with improved water supply

Construction of the water supply system was completed in Poti. The open ceremony of the project was attended by the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nodar Javakhishvili, Acting Director of the United Water Supply Company Nugzar Khutsishvili and local government representatives.
Minister inspected newly constructed object and the completed works on Nabada area together with representatives of donor organizations, Local Authorities and the United Water Supply Company officials.
The photo exhibition, which described the implemented and ongoing projects in the regions in the field of water supply, was arranged. At the same time, the presentation of Poti water supply system was held.
Within the frameworks of the project, Nabada pumping station, chlorination and operational buildings, water supply system and water filter station have been constructed. Also, 28 wells have been rehabilitated in Nosiri.
As a result of the completed works, the local population will be provided with a 20-24 hour water supply. At the same time, in addition 7 wells will be rehabilitated and after full implementation of the works population of Poti will be provided with 24-hour water supply.
The Asian Development Bank allocated more than 24 million GEL financial resources for rehabilitation of water supply system in Poti and 180 people were employed within the frameworks of the project.
