Water supply problem will be solved for 17 villages along the occupational line

Water supply problem will be regulated for more than 17 thousand residents of the villages along the occupational line of Gori, Kaspi and Kareli Municipalities. Residents of 17 villages of the region had to face water supply problem after 2008. Headworks, where the villages received water supply from, is now on the occupied territory. Construction works covers arrangement of pumps, reservoires and chlorination buildings in the villages. The project is implemented through the financial aid of the European Investment Bank and its cost amounts to more than GEL 5.5 mln. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Zurab Alavidze visited the site along with the representatives of local authorities to see ongoing works. 30 locals are employed for construction works. The project will be finished before the end of the this year which will regulate the problem related to potable water for thousands of residents of 17 villages and improve their living conditions.
